RTC 7.0

Bolidy

The newest combustion car designed and engineered entirely by our team. RTC 7.0 is characterized by the lightweight and rigid composite monocoque superstructure applied for the first time. The car is supported by innovative carbon fibre wheels. Combined with a full aerodynamics package and proven powertrain solutions, the RTC 7.0 delivers great performance and handling confidence.

The car is powered by a modified Honda CBR 600RR engine generating 100 horsepower with a weight of 195 kg. The construction took 2 years in the difficult time of the pandemic. More than 100 team members were involved in the project. Thousands of hours of design and simulations. 30 days of testing. All this guarantees that RTC 7.0 is the fastest car in AGH Racing history. In addition, the car is distinguished by a unique “dragon” paint job referring to Cracovian legends.

Back to the Future

2019/2020

RTE 2.0 “Lem”

Our newest electric car “Lem” is a construction which was the first in Poland to successfully pass a complicated technical inspection at Formula Student competitions. Compared to last year’s “Stanisław”, it generates twice as much aerodynamic pressure. At about 100 km/h it generates such force that the car could drive on the ceiling. For comparison, for F1, this speed is about 130 km/h.

The electronic system has been enriched with temperature sensors for tyres and brake discs. The battery’s construction is made of insulating fiberglass composite, which provides maximum strength and safety while maintaining low weight. A bold leitmotif of the new car and the upcoming season is the “cyberpunk” – a futuristic trend with a hint of nostalgia and 80s climate.

Electric Revolution

2018

RTE 1.0 “STANISŁAW”

In order to promote the development of electromobility, which is in line with the trend of changing the use of means of transport, we set up a team focusing on electric drive last season. From the very beginning, this idea attracted great interest. AGH Racing is the first team in Poland to present a Formula Student car with electric drive. The grand premiere was attended by crowds of AGH Racing sponsors, authorities and university employees, as well as students interested in the breakthrough design. The Stanisław car was named after the patron of our university.

Three years of success

2017-2019

RTC 5.0 “grażyna”

A real veteran of Formula Student competitions. The combustion car appeared on FS tracks for consecutive three years. After its premiere in 2017, the year 2018 was special for us. Thanks to the support received from the authorities of AGH University of Science and Technology, sponsors, as well as funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, this season the team prepared two racing vehicles to compete in Formula Student competitions.

The first one is a reconstruction of the fifth car called “Grażyna” – a revolution in AGH Racing and our best car so far. The vehicle, with which we competed on the tracks in Europe and the United States, presented itself superbly, taking leading places in many dynamic competitions. In its last race, the car once again conquered the United States by winning 3rd place in the Acceleration competition at FSAE Michigan 2019.

The beast on a track

2015-2016

RTC 3.0 “beast”

The third car in the history of AGH Racing. Back to the classic red paint. Thanks to the use of the latest technology this car was over 40kg lighter than the previous one. For two years “Beast” visited the tracks in Hungary, Italy and Spain. A herald of upcoming successes.

RTC 2.0 “squat bertha”

The second combustion structure designed and manufactured by the AGH Racing team. The car was distinguished by the use of the aerodynamic package for the first time. In addition to dynamic technical progress and modern solutions, it also introduced special lime colours characteristic for the 2014 season.

RTC 1.0 “big bertha”

After the team was founded in 2012, it was time for the first results of AGH Racing members’ work. In 2013 the first car in the history of AGH Racing was released. The machine visited, among others, the famous Silverstone in the UK and, most importantly, allowed to gather valuable experience, which was to pay off in the following seasons.
